Order before 2pm for same day dispatch / Free Delivery over £100 ex VAT (Mainland UK) - More Information

EU Customers

From 1st January 2021, the rules for importing from the UK have changed

Non UK Mainland (Ireland & Republic of Ireland) & European orders.

We are now in a position to re-start trialling orders for these destinations with our Box courier DPD.

To process orders we do require information to process the delivery. Due to our orders being

business to business sales, the courier does require all documents and information requested to  ship the goods and pass the order through customs.

Please can you ensure you have provided us with your:

EORI / VAT number

Have included a local contact number

For Irish customers we require your EIRE code for delivery in the Town Field on your address.

If you are in a “french cluster country we do require your French VAT number. Which can be applied for to the “Republic Francaise” - (Countries included are Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Solvakia & Slovenia)”

Once you have placed your order online, this will come to our team to check the information provided and provide you with a delivery quote based on your order and location.

If you would still prefer to collect your order from our warehouse, this is still possible, please advise us of this in the order notes section, and if you would prefer this to be packaged in boxes or on a pallet. We will then be in touch with a delivery quote, showing our address for collection. We will then provide all weights and dimensions for you, to provide to your chosen courier for uplift.

Please do contact us for any further assistance.

What is an EORI Number?

  • EU Businesses wishing to import goods from outside of the EU must use the EORI number as an identification number in all customs procedures when exchanging information with Customs administrations.
  • We will require an EORI number before shipping your order so we can provide the correct customs documentation to our couriers.
  • To register for an EORI number or for more information please visit your national government website.

Can I still buy from you?

  • You can still access our website and buy from our continually growing and updating range of products in exactly the same way but our minimum order value is now £150 ex VAT.
  • There will be no changes to our product prices or shipping costs for EU customers on our invoices.
  • All invoices will be charged without VAT for orders outside of the UK.
  • Please note that as we buy from suppliers worldwide, import duty will be applicable and will be calculated when the goods enter the EU

Paying Custom Charges

  • To keep things as simple as possible our couriers will act as our 'Custom Agent' and will contact you to let you know what duty is payable before the goods are delivered to you as normal.

Paying VAT

  • All invoices from Gainsborough Giftware Limited will be charged without VAT on orders outside the UK
  • You will now be governed by the tax rules of the country the goods enter the EU
